Autonomous National Electoral Commission (CENA)

The CENA is responsible for preparing, organising and supervising elections and referendums. It was enshrined in the Constitution in 2019.

Powers

  • Organise presidential, legislative and municipal elections.
  • Oversee the compilation of electoral rolls.
  • Collate results and forward them to the competent courts.
