Biometric passport

Assistance in preparing your biometric passport file. Files are submitted at the post, by appointment.

Honorary Consulate of Benin in Liège does not issue passports: it assists you in assembling the file, which the applicant then forwards to the Directorate of Emigration and Immigration (DEI) of the Ministry of the Interior.

Submitting the file

Files are submitted exclusively at the post, by appointment.

Processing time

Processing and availability take two weeks for complete files.

Collection

Passports are collected at the Consulate General of Benin in Paris, Monday to Friday during office hours, without an appointment.

Fees

  • First application: 65,514 FCFA, i.e. 100 euros.
  • Renewal: 30,000 FCFA, i.e. 46 euros.

Required documents

  1. Duly completed application form
  2. Valid consular card
  3. Copy of birth certificate with section no. 1, or supplementary judgment with approval record
  4. National identity card and its certified copy
  5. Proof of occupation
  6. Four passport photographs
  7. Married women: certified copy of the marriage certificate(optional)
  8. Minors: certified parental authorisation(optional)
  9. Applicants born abroad: certificate of nationality(optional)
