Submit the application: the consulate reviews it and writes to you if a document is missing.

Track progress from your personal space, up to the appointment or collection.

Amounts are set by Beninese regulations. Payment is made by bank transfer to the consulate's account.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to come to the consulate after applying online?
It depends on the service. Applying online allows your file to be processed remotely, but certain original documents must be presented at the desk, particularly when collecting the document.
Which file formats can I upload?
PDF, JPEG, PNG and WEBP files are accepted, up to 10 MB per file. Make sure scans are sharp and complete: an illegible document will be rejected.
Does the consulate issue entry visas?
No. The entry visa for Benin is obtained exclusively online at evisa.gouv.bj. The consulate can assist you with your application and also issues courtesy visas.
Does the post issue passports?
No. The post assists you in assembling the file, which you then forward to the Directorate of Emigration and Immigration. Files are submitted on Mondays by appointment.
How long is the consular card valid?
Five years. It is mandatory in order to vote in elections held abroad and gives access to consular protection.
How do I make an appointment?
Appointments are made by e-mail at contact@consulatdubenin.com. State the service concerned and, where applicable, your online file reference.
